You can now see a musculoskeletal physiotherapist practitioner for joint, muscle or soft tissue pain as the first point of contact instead of the GP. This gives you faster access to expert diagnosis, advice and exercises you need to start tackling the problem. The physiotherapist can also refer you on to hospital services and arrange tests where necessary. Please ask reception for more information or for booking an appointment.

As a rural practice we can dispense to any patient who lives more than a mile from the local pharmacy. Current legislation means we are not allowed to dispense to those within the mile surrounding the pharmacy. If this affects you; we can arrange for your prescription to be automatically sent to the local pharmacy when ordered or it can be left on the 'CLIP' in dispensary for you to collect and take to a pharmacy of your choice.

We have a practice policy of a 28 day supply of repeat items (3 months for HRT and contraception). If more is needed due to holiday, please mention when ordering.

Please allow 2 working days (excluding weekends and bank holidays) for your prescription to be processed. We cannot guarantee your prescription will be ready before 2 working days.

Finding it difficult to collect your repeat prescriptions from the surgery?

We are trialling a new prescription delivery service run by volunteers from the local community. This new service will be running on a Wednesday morning from mid-March. To be eligible for deliveries, we ask that you are:

  • Over 60 and
  • House-bound (but can get to the door - our volunteers cannot come into your house and prescriptions cannot be left without a signature) OR struggling to get into the surgery due to transport difficulties

To request deliveries, please fill in a consent form below and return it to the dispensary. Please be aware that if you do not fit the criteria above, we cannot offer this service to you at the present time.
